2 The Golf Club at Brickshire11010 Kentland Trail / Providence Forge / The newest addition to the Williamsburg golf scene, designed by Tom Clark in association with two-time U.S. Open Champion Curtis Strange, the course emulates some the greatest holes in golf including August #3, Riviera #10, Pinehurst #11 and St. Andrews #14.

5 The Colonial Golf Club
– Toano / Golf Digest claims it as a “top Ten Virginia public course”, the Virginia Fairways magazine ranks it number 2 in Virginia.Open year-round, this 18 hole, par-72 course is a traditional wooded layout featuring five boxed tees, offering a “fair but challenging experience” for all.

Ford’s Colony - 240 Ford’s Colony Drive / Williamsburg / A trio of resort courses that offers 54 holes of championship golf, the newest 18 debuted fall 1999! All three courses were designed by Dan Maples, the course layout features rolling hills, wooded vistas and lots of water. Ranked in the top in Virginia by several major golf publications.   • 10 The Gold Course designed by Robert Trent Jones (he considered it as his finest design), was carefully restored in 1998 by his son Rees Jones. In 1963 Jack Nicklaus shot a 67 which has held as the course record since that time. Try your luck on the gold, the crown jewel of Williamsburg golf and a top five in Virginia!
  • 11 The Green Course, designed in 1991 by Rees Jones, and just like his father, he designed the course to take advantage of the natural landscape. In it’s opening year, Golf Digest ranked the Green as one of the ten best new resorts in the nation. The Green still stands as one of the top ten in Virginia!
Kingsmill Resort - 1010 Kingsmill Drive / Williamsburg /
  • 13 The Plantation Course, designed by Arnold Palmer as an ideal test of a players ability, this par-72 favors accurate iron play and good putting. Watch for the par-three 17th, you may never forget it!
  • 12 The River Course is known as the home of the PGA Tour, Michelob Championship. A par-71, this course was designed by Pete Dye and challenges the player with its deep ravines, elevated greens and lurking water. See it like the pros do, take the River Course challenge!
  • 14 The Woods Course designed by club pro Curtis Strange with Tom Clark, is one of Williamsburg’s most challenging. Multi-tiered greens and wide fairways make for interesting play on this secluded par-72.

4 Kiskiack Golf Club– 8104 Club Drive / Williamsburg / Williamsburg’s newest and most popular offering, this par-72 was designed by John LaFoy along with former U.S. Amateur Champion Vinny Giles. At it’s debut this club was named the Best New Course of the Year and this legend has continued to live up to the hype of it’s opening expectations. Carry me Back to Ole Ireland, the Royal New Kent is acclaimed as the best imitation of an Irish course ever attempted on this side of the pond!

3 Tradition at Stonehouse - 9700 Mill Pond Road / Toano / opening a year earlier (1996) than the Royal New Kent, this sibling also garnered the title of the Best New Course of the Year! 9 Williamsburg National - 3700 Centerville Road / Williamsburg / “Corralling” awards year after year, this Nicklaus Design Associates course has earned 3 1/2 stars from Golf Digest and was voted by their readers as one of the Top 10 Places to Play in Virginia! It’s a Golden Bear filled with challenge blended within a natural eastern Virginia landscape...a truly superb layout with beautiful conditions!
